How do I book the campervan?

Please fill in this booking form. It is a term of our insurance that the hire must be paid for by credit or debit card and booked through the website. A non-refundable deposit of £150 is needed to secure your booking unless there is less than 6 weeks before your booking period, in which case the full amount is due.

What is included in the price of hire of the van?

The price covers hire of the campervan with all the equipment listed in the attached inventory, fully comprehensive insurance with UK breakdown cover, a full tank of diesel (please return the vehicle to us with a full tank) and free parking on our drive for your vehicle while you are away in the van.

How old do I need to be to hire the camper van?

In summary, you need to be over 21 and under 79. Regardless of your age, you must have held a UK licence for 2 years or more. In addition, you must have less than 6 points on your licence and only one accident or claim in the last 3 years. Please note that the terms of insurance do not permit us to hire to undergraduates/students under the age of 25. Please see our full terms and conditions here.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

Unfortunately the £150 deposit for securing your booking is non-refundable. If you booked with less than 6 weeks prior to your departure date and paid the full amount, then this is also non-refundable. However, if we do manage to get another booking for the same van, for the same rental period, the £150 booking deposit remains non-refundable, but we will refund the balance of the hire payment. We cannot therefore guarantee that you will be refunded and we recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover any losses.

Is bedding included in the price?

Save that we provide bottom sheets for the two beds, bedding is not included. We can supply bedding for an additional £20 so please contact us to discuss your needs.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. We are dog lovers and our dog has been in the van on several occasions.
If there is additional cleaning that needs to be done as a result of your dog or there has been damage to the interior of the van, we reserve the right to withhold money from the security deposit for the damage or additional cleaning. Please see our terms and conditions.

What do I need to bring on the day of pick up?

Please bring your documents for checking: your driving licence card and two forms of address ID: one must be a utility bill less than 3 months old. You will need your clothes, wash bag, shoes and bedding (unless you have booked a set from us) and any food you want to bring. We provide cooking oil, salt, pepper, and some cleaning equipment. Please see the attached inventory.

How many bikes does your bike rack take?

We have a Witter Bike rack that takes 2 bikes. We also hire out a trailer (Erde 122) which can be adapted to take up to 4 bikes. If demand is high, we may consider investing in another Witter bike rack for 3 bikes so please contact us to discuss.

Do you hire bikes too?

We are looking at extending our offering to include the hire of bikes. If you would like to hire a bike, please contact us to discuss.

What seatbelts are there in the back seat of the van? Do you have isofix?

We don’t have isofix for baby seats but there are two 3 point seat belts in the back, ready to accept most car seats. There is a lap belt in the middle of the back seat which is ideal for strapping in your dog in a suitable harness (as we do!).
